The Pontiac Tempest Custom was truly on the wide track for 1964, and today that makes them one cool cruiser. This also has a newer gas tank with sending unit, steel braided coolant hoses, and a rebuilt 850 CFM GM four-barrel carburetor. So you have a strong running and stout V8. More than just a hot motor, this is a full package upgrade. That means the control of a close-ratio Muncie M21 four-speed manual transmission, and this feeds a 3.55 Positraction rear end. And speaking of the rear, you also have boxed arms and a sway bar, just like a proper muscle car.
