350 V8 W/ GO-FAST GOODIES, 3-SPEED AUTO, PWR BRAKES, FRONT DISCS, AWESOME BUILD!

There's no mistaking the look of gasser for anything else. They have a particular stance that tells you it was built for quarter-mile fun, and so a car like this 1964 AMC Rambler American celebrates that feeling correctly. And everything from the vinyl roof to the well-done interior tells you that this dual-quad street machine likes to show off some vintage flair, too.

The '64 Rambler American seems like the right place to start for a Gasser build. They are lightweight economy cars, but the redesign in 1964 gave them a sportier appearance. In fact, a hardtop like this would later be called the ”Rogue.” So it's a fitting base for an outlaw gasser build. This has all the best gasser details with the front bumper deleted and a Moon aluminum oil puke tank leading the way. The solid axle front lifts this one high for the right stance. Plus, the wheels/tires are staggered to have skinny ones up front and ultra-wide Hoosiers in the rear. And if the racing sticker in the window and bomber decals on the fenders didn't clue you in on this car's performance, the dual air grabber peeking out of the hood certainly will! But while this one looks mean, you can also see they took some extra time ... Please ask for the full description.

Description

In fact, a hardtop like this would later be called the "Rogue." So it's a fitting base for an outlaw gasser build. But while this one looks mean, you can also see they took some extra time to make sure this also has style. The teal green paint has a nice metallic glow. And the full stripe package with copper, yellow, purple, and orange is all painted on for a cleaner look. The crystal clear headlights have the turn signals integrated, the racing wheels shine brightly, the vinyl roof fits nicely, and there are even LEDs discreetly mounted in the rear fender. So this one would stand out for its style even if it didn't already stand above the other cars out there.

Most gassers strip out the interior, but this one shows there's the right setup for it to be fun that can be shared with others. The seats, carpet, headliner, and dash pad have a nice style, and the exterior pinstripe even returns on the door tops. Even the lights on the C-pillar greet you when the door opens. And an AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth makes for proper driving music. But none of this takes away from the proper performance feeling. You have front bucket seats, a classic sports steering wheel, a proper set of Bosch under-dash readouts, and a Hurst Pro-Matic 2 shifter for the three-speed auto. Looking for the tach? It's on the hood like a classic head-up display.

A big part of a gasser's appeal is a serious powerhouse. So nestled within the tidy engine bay is a solid V8 upgrade. This 350 is topped with Edelbrock Air Gap high-rise tunnel ram intake with dual Edelbrock four-barrel carburetors. And you have quality supporting components, like a fuel pressure regulator, steel braided hoses with AN fittings, finned aluminum valve covers, an HEI distributor, and an aluminum radiator with a separate transmission cooler. And a nice set of headers make sure to add power to the V8 and rumble to the dual exhaust. As you look underneath, you'll spot the strong solid front axle, front disc brakes, and subframe connectors for a well-built quarter-mile package.

Complete with owner's manual, the overall impression of this custom Rambler is a very driver-ready style. After all, it's a gasser, and so the full fit and finish never want to keep you from driving it. But after looking over this full package, you can also see it was done with added flair and care that will get it more attention than just for its motor. It makes for a great classic that can stand out (and above) from other classics at the car show or dragstrip. Call today!!!
