COOL RESTOMOD, 363 V8, ULTIMATE SLEEPER, TKX TREMEC 5SP, 4.30 POSI, FRONT DISCS!

This 1970 Ford Maverick Restomod has a very vintage style to be a nice classic... but it's really just going incognito. As you dig deeper, you see a powerful fuel-injected V8, upgraded suspension, and the control of a five-speed.

Take a moment to realize why we're all starting to really appreciate the original Ford Maverick. This has a real sense of style with the long hood, fastback roof, integrated rear spoiler, and a hint of Coke-bottle curve in the profile. It truly represents the best in classic design, and it's all on a smaller/lightweight frame. This example just looks like a well-maintained classic with clean body lines, simple dog dish wheel covers, and form-fitting chrome bumpers. And we especially like the 1970s-style minty green color that has a good gloss without being too fancy to give away to the car's true nature. In fact, there's even a decoy single exhaust tip to make this look like a stock six-cylinder car! So the only real exterior giveaway is if someone happens to notice the wide Hoosier rear tires.

The interior is pure sleeper-style fun. So you'll be hoping people will be spending so much time admiring the fresher classic-style upholstery that they won't happen ... Please ask for the full description.

Description

So you'll be hoping people will be spending so much time admiring the fresher classic-style upholstery that they won't happen to notice the Hurst floor shifter. Even the door panels, steering wheel, and dash look like worn-in stock pieces. They even painted the housing for the added Sunpro tach in beige to coordinate with the rest of the interior.

The engine bay is where this one quits trying to pretend its stock. It's a tidy V8 package glowing with power. We're told this Ford V8 has been enlarged to 363 cubic inches, which is 20 percent larger than anything Ford ever offered in the Maverick. And this is built for serious power with a Demon electronic fuel injection system, an Edelbrock intake, and AFR aluminum heads. A nice set of headers feed into an H-pipe dual exhaust and Hooker mufflers. And when you want to make sure people hear this is not Sunday driver, just flip a switch for the exhaust cutouts. Plus, it has the right supporting components, like an aluminum radiator with electric fan, Ford Racing valve covers, and the battery moved to the trunk for better weight distribution. And you have true control over this upgraded motor thanks to the five-speed manual transmission. This feeds a limited-slip 4.30 9-inch rear end. And there are also Caltrac bars and those street/strip tires for a package that delivers powerful and confident take-offs. While this already has a nice wide tire rear setup if you enjoy taking quarter miles in your classic, there's also power steering and front disc brakes to make it great for any-time use.

This Maverick goes out of its way to be a sleeper car that's serious fun. So don't let it slip away, call today!!!
