BUILT BY STACEY DAVID, JON KAASE BOSS NINE MOTOR, SIX-SPEED, INCREDIBLE BUILD!

If you're a fan of Stacey David's TV show Gearz, then this 1967 Mercury Cougar V8 Interceptor needs no introduction. But just for the few others out there, you just need to know that this is a full custom build done with the kind of attitude to showcase all that you can do in the world of custom cars. That means a full custom body, a detail-driven interior, a sports suspension with an award-worthy style, and an 830-horsepower fuel-injected motor with awesome velocity stacks.

You are looking at a full fresh build that was completed less than 300 miles ago. The idea was to bring some added reverence to a pony car of a different animal: the Mercury Cougar. And since this was the Mustang with added style, the whole build seemed to find a balance between super-sleek sophistication and all-out power. Some of the Cougar's best features were amplified, like the way the bumpers were smothered and tucked into the body, and the hidden headlights are now on electronic doors. Other elements incorporated some of the best designs of the power car era. That's why you have side pipes, flush door handles, and a '69 Trans Am rear spoiler. Plus, the Schott Modsport K/O wheels have a 17/19 inch ... Please ask for the full description.

Plus, the Schott Modsport K/O wheels have a 17/19 inch front/rear stagger to help add even more emphasis to the mean stance and ultra-wide rear rubber. It's all wrapped in a super slick shade of black worthy of the attitude those hood stacks give off. And the custom pant even has the custom V8 Interceptor name in the racing stripe. So yes, Stacey thought of EVERYTHING.

A fresh build means a clean interior. This includes beautiful TMI seating with suede inserts, plush carpeting, a smooth dash, custom handles, and a fully finished trunk. And everyone will marvel at the dash inserts that have real maple wood inserts inspired by a guitar! There are comfort upgrades like a retro-style AM/FM/stereo, a cup holder center console, and provision for air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow ideally cold.) And this feels like a full driver's package with a Lecarra wood-rimmed sports steering wheel, an Ididit tilt steering column, and Classic Instruments Bomber gauges. You know there are way too many details to this meteoric Mercury for us to list everything here. So we'll give you the highlights now, and you can call us for the full file on this coupe.

The engine bay is impressive for a long list of reasons. First, it does a terrific job of uniting the color theme with plenty of slick black like the exterior, and the bright copper reminds us of the natural wood tones of the interior. At the center is a Jon Kaase Racing Engines Boss Nine motor. It has tidy tucked wires and everything planned correctly so you can see the polished 520 cubic-inch beast in all its glory. And the Hilborn EFI system gives you the look of hot rod velocity stacks but the ease of an electronic fuel injection system. There's also a FAST computer system, a Holley fuel pressure regulator, an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, and Ford Powertrain ceramic-coated headers. The full package makes 830 hp and 750 ft-lbs of torque, and we have the dyno sheet to prove it! This kind of big power is firmly under your control with the Tremec Magnum six-speed manual transmission feeding the Currie limited-slip 9-inch rear end. Take some extra time to look underneath this car. The reinforced frame continues the black and copper look, and adds plenty of polish, too. So when you take this to car shows (and we know you'll go to a lot of them) you're going to be putting a mirror under this coupe. But a cougar is an animal that deserves to be in the wild, and so it was built with awesome components to enjoy the road. This includes the TCI front end with polished control arms, a TCI three-link rear, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, and rack & pinion power steering. Plus, you have the option of having a dignified rumble through the rear dual exhaust, or you can bypass the mufflers and let the side pipes bring the thunder.

The sale comes complete with build receipts, dyno sheet, a car cover, a Stacey David project planning book, and more. And of course, you have episodes of the show to forever document the creativity and craftsmanship that went into this one-of-a-kind build. Don't miss your chance at a dream car built by a master craftsman using the best parts around. Call today!!!
