Not only is the factory-correct Honey Gold a memorable color on this pony car, but also it was only offered for one year. So this one instantly has rarity and distinction, and that's why they invested nicely during the restoration (around 2016) to get it looking so good. The bright glow is exactly what you want on a sunshine-friendly convertible. And the luster really highlights the iconic lines with well-defined creases where you can see the sporty overhang of the hood, short rear deck, and the crease that runs the full length with a classic kick-up behind the door. Description
This 1965 Ford Mustang is exactly what you want in an early pony car. It's a unique-color drop-top that has been restored to discreetly give you the best in modern upgrades. So you'll love the A/C interior, Bluetooth stereo, power windows, and overall impressive cruiser style.
And the details on this one are terrific. Mirror-like chrome bumpers and trim are pure Americana, and even the wire wheel covers have the correct classic style.
The white folding roof has an attractive brightness that compliments the golden glow of the paint. And with the flip of a switch, it powers down to reveal a terrific parchment interior to give you a terrific color combo. The seats, doors, dash, wood-rimmed steering wheel, and other fundamentals look quite nice. And we like that they were thoughtful with the overall setup in details like the color-coordinated convertible boot and higher traffic areas like the carpeting are done in black. Plus, there are plenty of well-integrated upgrades. You have cold-blowing R134a air conditioning (always desirable in a convertible,) a retro-style AM/FM radio with Bluetooth, and a nicely fit center console that has both an armrest and cup holders. We love that they left the classic window cranks as the gateway to the power windows, and when was the last time you saw a first-year pony car with power locks and a keyless entry/alarm system?
Under the hood is a sharp-looking 200 cubic-inch inline-six. It all looks quite tidy, and it has been treated to more recent investments, like a new carburetor, stabilizer bars, and a tune-up. And as you look underneath, you see the clean style that reminds you of the full restoration. We all know some big power V8s fit in here with ease, but we like what this one represents. After all, this car likes to be a true classic that skillfully integrates true cruiser upgrades. So to have a powerhouse that has seen the right maintenance and investment to uphold the inline-six's smooth nature means you have a car that really knows how to cruise easily, and you have something truly vintage to show off everywhere you arrive. It's this boulevard-ready kind of feeling that means you also have power steering, power brakes, and a three-speed automatic transmission.
The sale comes complete with the owner's manual, build receipts, and restoration photos. This is the distinct and rare iconic classic Mustang that has been impressively upgraded so that you'll love driving it everywhere. That's why it's always going to be in demand. Don't miss out, call today!
