Classic Vettes are all about the numbers. So take note when you can find a well-presented 1996 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport. This one-year-only high-performance LT4 motor and six-speed is not only a terrific package, but it's also quite a rare sight. In this case, the configuration makes it one of 91 ever made!
The Grand Sports were the true swan song of the C4. Chevrolet used it to showcase all the reasons why we love the Corvette - power, poise, and true distinction. Combining Admiral Blue with Arctic White stripes and those bright red hash marks on the fenders was a stroke of genius. It's a look that dates back to the early 1960s and resonates deep within Corvette lore. Not only the appearance made these instant classics, but also the rarity. Only 1,000 coupes and convertibles were produced in total, and when you look at suspension and interior option packages, this is one of only 91. That's why this example has been treated with proper care. It has averaged less than 2,400 miles annually, and the full finish shows all the right signs of being the factory application. It has a nice shine and keeps its sharply distinctive style, but this one also doesn't look like a museum ... Please ask for the full description.

Description
It has a nice shine and keeps its sharply distinctive style, but this one also doesn't look like a museum piece. You can see it has been responsibly enjoyed, because after all, your plans for this one are the same. A special car like this was specially built to be driven. Why else would they give you flared fenders and upgraded the wheels right from the factory?
The red racing hashes on the fender are a nice complementing piece to the full red interior. So this is the perfect machine for those who like to cruise with the targa top out. The leather seats have the right bolstering, and even have Grand Sport boldly embroidered in the headrest. Plus, both you and your passenger can power-adjust these buckets to the ideal individual position. And that's only the tip of the premium feature iceberg. This GS is loaded with power windows, power locks, keyless entry/alarm, power mirrors, electric rear defogger, cruise control, dual airbags, automatic climate control (A/C needs a recharge,) and a powerful AM/FM/cassette/CD stereo system with Bose speakers. And as a true driver's car you'll love how the stick shift feels in your right hand, and the grip of the leather-wrapped steering wheel for your left one. So just like the exterior, it's all clean and highly stock without ever being so perfect that you'd think twice about hopping in and going for a drive.
Chevy chose these Grand Sports to introduce the LT4 fuel-injected V8. The 330 hp engine boasted a number of improvements, including high-flow fuel injectors, higher compression, and a completely revived valvetrain (including a performance cam.) The result was the speedy fun coupe that delivers on the C4's powerfully sleek lines. The presentation appears all correct right down to the red Grand Sport tag that reminds you only the best coupes got the LT4. The original appearance and good maintenance also mean it starts easily, idles smoothly, and runs strong. And the ZF six-speed manual transmission puts you in full control over it all. You'll even appreciate a better exhaust note from the eliminated resonator and upgraded to Magnaflow mufflers. Plus, the fully independent suspension is the optional F45 sports suspension. Add in power steering, four-wheel power disc brakes, drilled & slotted rotors, and grippy ZR-rated tires, and you know exactly why this is the one to drive.
Complete with the owner's manual, this is a rare Grand Sport that's made to be enjoyed. You may use the money you save from the value price for personal preferences, like adjusting the clutch or doing cosmetic updates. But we like the idea of getting a fun car that can be truly driven on day one, and this knows how to look impressive as more and more people appreciate the rarity and power of the single-year C4 Grand Sport.
