If you're considering making a big splash in the classic car world, you need to call us about this high-end '68 Charger right now.

#'S MATCHING, 383 V8, 3SPD AUTO, PWR STEERING/BRAKES, VERY CLEAN TOP/BOTTOM, WOW

If I were a gambling man, I'd wager that this impeccably restored 1968 Dodge Charger will sell faster than any other car we currently have offered. Is it the best looking muscle car of all time? Hard to argue against it, and with a numbers-matching 383 V8/A727 Torqueflight drivetrain, it's got the performance hardware to back up its awesome look. Whether it's the gorgeous color combination, great options, pedigree, or heap of provenance that attracts you, there's a bountiful number of attributes to love about this legendary muscle car. If you're considering making a big splash in the classic car world, you need to call us about this high-end '68 Charger right now.

You can't do better than an elegant color like Code JJ Medium Gold Metallic on the Charger's angular shape, although regardless of shade, it's one of the more intimidating machines to come out of the muscle car era. Just 851 miles ago, someone with access to top restoration professionals spent considerable money, time, and effort to get this one into its current spectacular condition. In a large muscle car, there's a lot of sheet metal to straighten, smooth, and buff, and despite all that real estate, there's not much to complain about. None of the factory details were altered, so you get that cool hood with recessed ducts that don't need to be overt to be effective, matching door 'scoops' at the flanks, and the grille/headlight combination varied each year, with '68 being a perennial favorite for Mopar fans. The gold finish is about a mile deep and in excellent condition, and although a microscope might find a minor imperfection or two, there's no doubt that you'll be proud to show this one off at any level and eager to get it home after you've bought it. A relatively rare colored Code Y4 Green vinyl roof adds a bit of elegance to the car's look, which is easy to do with those dramatic flying buttresses, and it's a perfect complement to the factory finish. Factory X1 green-tinted glass continues the theme, and it's pretty darn special that restorers were so faithful to the original recipe that they brought that rare glass back during the build. The hideaway headlights work like a charm, and the round taillights in the rear are some of the coolest in the business. Shiny chrome bumpers, laser-straight stainless around the wheel arches, and windows all add flash, and even those little round side marker lights make this an unmistakable piece of Mopar muscle.

The fully restored Code C6F Green bucket seat/center console interior uses correct patterns and materials to take you back to 1968 in style. No, the seats aren't split, that's how they were designed, and it's not only distinctive but unique to the '68 Chargers. The tops of the door panels are the only thing inside that show any wear (and it's minimal), whereas the dash, carpets, headliner, seats, etc., are all in excellent condition thanks to a high-end restoration and so few miles on the build. Rallye gauges, including the uber-popular Tick-Tock-Tach, are probably a must-have on a sporty Charger like this, and all the factory auxiliary gauges, switches, and controls inside the dash barely look like they've ever been touched. The center console houses the tall chrome shifter for the 727 TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission. Hence, it's easy to shift manually if that's your thing, and all the brightwork highlighting the console sparkles against the dark green backdrop. Even the original Dodge Solid State AM radio remains in the dash along with a rear speaker, further proving that keeping this one factory-correct was of the utmost importance to the pros restoring it, which is something we can all respect. Out back, the massive trunk is correctly finished with a plaid mat, bias-ply spare tire, and jack set, and that tube is for the fully-functional flip-up filler cap on top of the rear quarter panel.

Under the hood is where the Charger made its bones (even Bullitt feared the Charger), and the reason this Charger will always stay above six-figure territory is the numbers-matching drivetrain that still lives within. The engine is the car's original 383 cubic inch V8 rebuilt and dressed to look exactly like the factory did it, and despite how pretty and clean it is, we can't get over how beautifully it runs. Sometimes with classic cars, the old 'don't meet your heroes' adage applies, but this Charger runs and drives so much better than we could've ever imagined. We've driven plenty of Mopars before, but it's hard to say if we've ever enjoyed one as much as this. Under the original Magnum air cleaner, you'll find a big (and correct) Carter 4-barrel carburetor. The ever-important Wise Report confirms a host of other factory-correct parts – from the radiator hoses to the water pump to the crankshaft balancer, to name a few. Correct Chrysler Turquoise paint adds a little contrast to the sparkling engine bay, and the replacement cast iron exhaust manifolds are so effective that headers are probably unnecessary. The TorqueFlite snaps through the gears with authority and is always ready to serve up a quick downshift, and the 8.75-inch rear end doesn't seem to mind the torque at all. Stock-style mufflers offer that notorious big block Mopar sound with correct rectangular tips, and there's just enough rake in the suspension to give it that perfect stance. Magnum 500 wheels are always a popular addition and carry 225/60/15 front and 245/60/15 rear BFGoodrich radials that perfectly fill the wheel wells.

Documented with its factory buildsheet, bill of sale, owner's manual, and build/maintenance receipts, there's no way this car will be here for very long. As I said, if I were willing to wager, I'd bet on this car. Call now!
